March 2008: Cairo, Egypt
Just back from Egypt and her first camel ride,
Kathy is excited to tell you about her travels.
She experienced a 9-day cruise & tour with General Tours.
Highlights included
Abu Simbel, two full days in Cairo, the ancient splendors of the Nile Valley. As well as
a
four-night exploration of the ancient treasures of the Nile. She visited 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Esna, Luxor,
Valley of the Kings and Queens
March 2008: Tanzania, Africa
Home to the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and the renowned Serengeti plains, Tanzania is a treasure trove of widlife in an unspoiled terrain. Through an Educational Study Tour with Abercrombie & Kent, Will and Kathy enjoyed exotic animals in their natural habitat.
Traveling in a customized 4X4 safari vehicle allowed us to get up close to the "big five" mere yards in front of us. Lions, Leopards, Rhino, Elephant and Cape Buffalo as well as Zebras, Wildebe est and gazelle. Amoung the highlights, visiting a Maasai village and stopping at the Oldupai Gorge, known for
the Zinj skull believed to be
1.8 million years old.

February 2008: CARIBBEAN
Amy cruised the Caribbean with Carnival Cruise Line, aboard Carnival Freedom. She particuarly enjoyed Ziplining through the jungle in Jamaica.
January 2008: BAHAMAS
Chris cruised the Bahamas with Carnival Cruise Line, aboard Carnival Sensation. She experienced Paradise Island and toured the Atlantis Resort.
June 2007: HAWAII
Jenny sailed the big island, Maui, Kauai and Oahu with
Norwegian Cruise Line, aboard Pride of America.
She explored Hawaii's volcanoes, waterfalls, gardens and beaches. Only unpacking once! Great way to see the islands.
