Royal St. David's Golf Club, or Harlech as it is familiarly known, is located in the dune land between the Harlech Castle and the sea. This championship course opened in 1894 and is one of the finest links courses in Britain. The course is picturesque with the magnificent 13th Century Harlech Castle towering over it and the spectacular Showdon Mountains in the background. The holes are of high quality varying in length and direction. The greens are large in size and the rough contains a variety of beautiful wild orchids. This course has been described as one of the toughest par 69. |
