Pennard   Pennard

Pennard is located on the beautiful Gower Peninsula in south Wales. The scenery is complete with expansive views across the course, past a 12th century Norman castle, and down 200 feet to a vast white beach dotted with wild horses. A very dramatic position on a cliff top, overlooking the Bristol Channel.

Pennard is essentially a links course, with arresting views across Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs Bay. There is an untamed ruggedness about Pennard.

The movement of the land serves as the principle test for golfers. The course was laid out to maximize the sloping terrain. The slopping terrain which demands accuracy on the firm fairways.

It is not an overly long course, however it can provide a very stern challenge by being routinely buffeted by strong winds that roar up the Bristol Channel.
