Sol The English architect of this course, Donald Steel, has carefully maintained the original topographical nature of the undulating terrain.
Preserving nature and native vegetation was a main priority in designing this course, founded in 1991. Vila Sol was the site of the 1992 and 1993 Portuguese Open.
The golf course features superb, fast greens and manicured, narrow fairways demanding accurate driving. It may be testing with water hazards on six of the holes.
