Royal Troon   Royal Troon

Consistently ranked as one of the World's best links courses, Royal Troon was designed by Willie Fernie, in 1878.

The course possesses the longest hole - measuring at 554 yards - and the shortest hole - measuring at 123 yards - on any Open Championship course.

The first six and last five holes follow the gentle curve of the coastline. The finishing holes are testing and particularly difficult into the wind.

Narrow fairways lined with trouble make tee shots critical, its bunkers are punishing and the small greens require touch and imagination.
