El Saler |
| The course is the site
of important and prestigious national and international tournaments.
Designed by Javier Arana in the early 1960's, this course respects the natural landscape by including many of the pines and the dunes that formed a barrier separating the pinewood from the beach. As a result, this par-72 course includes: broad fairways; huge, difficult greens; few out of bounds areas; almost one hundred bunkers - some of them natural, taking advantage of the dunes, and the presence of the already famous "cat's claw" - sedum grass (a native plant). In short, without having any further special hazards, the course makes it difficult to come in at par. |
