Penina |
|
Designed by Sir Henry Cotton, Penina is situated in the heart of Algarve. It hosted the Portuguese Open in 1998, 1999 and 2000. This championship course was the first course to be built in the Algarve and opened in 1966. It has since been completely rebuilt, maintaining its original character and features. This is a fairly flat course lay out with thousands of trees that divide fairways and define greens. There are plenty of bunkers, water hazards and wide greens. Penina also features two nine hole loops: The Resort Course and the Academy Course. An extensive, well-managed driving-range with a huge putting green is available for practice. |
