|
Located about 50 miles from Killarney, Waterville opened in 1973 and was designed by John A. Mulcahy. Situated on the western tip of the famous Ring of Kerry, it combines natural beauty with the thoughtful and challenging links design. Waterville is truly mystical. It is nestled in a beautiful setting of sandhills, dunes and hillocks in Ballinskelligs Bay. The Atlantic's fierce winds can make the 7,000 yard course seem twice as long! This course has been referred to as 'the beautiful monster' and can be enjoyed by all levels of ability. Payne Stewart's favorite golfing grounds prior to playing in the British Open. There is a larger than life statue of him near the clubhouse. |
