County Louth |
|
County Louth, or Baltray as it is familiarly known, is a truly magnificent and totally natural championship links course. Located about an hour from Dublin, the course was designed by Tom Simpson in the 1930's. Arguably the finest short par 4 in Ireland, the 14th hole offers tremendous breathtaking views. With the broad estuary of the River Boyne, famed for its 17th Century battle, stretched out ahead of you and the romantic Mountains of Mourne over your shoulder. The bunkers and hazards are strategically positioned throughout the course. Pay attention to the folding, tumbling dune-lined fairways and narrow greens. |
