Southport & Ainsdale Southport & Ainsdale

Southport & Ainsdale, or S & A as it is familiarly known, is a true test of golf for all levels of ability. James Braid, Harry Vardon and J.H. Taylor designed the course. Despite changes to the course over the years, the traditional feel of the championship links has been retained.

Set amongst ranges of tall sandhills and smaller sand dunes, this 18-hole course demands accuracy rather than distance.

The course has hosted two Ryder Cup Matches, in 1933 and 1937. It remains the final qualifying course for The Open and is considered one of the top 50 courses in Great Britain.

The kind coastal climate and delightful atmosphere will ensure an enjoyable round of golf.
