Belas Designed by William "Rocky" Roquemore, the Belas course was planned with great international and national tournaments in mind. It opened in 1998 and has already received wide acclaim.
Spreading among the hills, Belas Country Club provides an excellent view over the Sintra Mountain range. The course has fairly small bunkers that are strategically placed along the fairways up to the greens.
The course design has been integrated with Charles Franzman's plan, where the houses are built on top of the hills, overlooking a golf course winding in and out of the valleys below, thus benefiting from a certain protection from the wind.
