Much worry about fees from bank fees, credit card fees, baggage fees to travel agency fees. We will try to simplify for you.
Skads Travel will be fair in charging fees to cover our costs and time. We appreciate your understanding the value of our service.
Airline ticket Fees:
We are not paid a commission by the airlines and must charge fees to cover our cost and time in discussing schedules, issuing tickets, obtaining seat assignments and watching to secure or improve seats daily until departure, online checkin, boarding passes and luggage prepayment if desired, airline cancellations and rescheduling. This takes more time each year as airline customer service declines.
We charge $35 for domestic and $50-75 for international; $50-200 for free tickets depending on the situation and time involved in securing. Additional tickets on same itinerary are $5 - 10 per person.
Plan to Go Fee:
We charge $150-250 for time discussing and designing independent international itineraries. For this fee we will fit an itinerary to your wishes and budget, advise our experience and that of our years of working with itineraries, clients and price ranges. We will design the itinerary and you can "free wheel" or make your own bookings. If we are completing a prepaid itinerary for our continuing clients, there is no additional fee. This fee may be credited to the trip cost when paid in full.
Sometime fees:
No fee for hotels that pay commission (many international and small inns and bed and breakfasts do not pay) If we are not paid a commission we charge a fee of $25 per hotel.
NO fees:
For Cruises, Escorted or Prepaid Tours and Packages, Insurance, Cell phone rental, Car rentals. And as a Thank you we will waive our airline fees if you confirm in a cruise, package or tour of at least $1500 per person. In a few cases of free tickets , a fee may have to be charged.
Value Added:
In the case of some Luxury tours when we are compensated, we offer roundtrip private complimentary transportation between your home and the airport.
We are able to receive many discounts and added value thru our relationships with companies like CruiseWest and Country Walkers that only offer this discount through travel agencies. In the words of a longtime client....."Thank you for the bottle of wine...it was interesting that the internet did not send my tablemates a bottle for their booking."
